Energy Efficient Cities Initiative

Adam was a PhD research student, working in the Building Technologies team as part of the Energy Efficient Cities initiative. His work focused on the challenge of retrofitting, with a specific interest in social housing in the UK. Adam worked with project partners, City West housing association, to investigate the possibilities for energy demand reduction and the potential for novel energy supply systems for 15,000 existing properties in the Greater Manchester area. His research led to the development of the EECi's SUSDEM tool.
