The IEA report, Deploying Renewables (2011), provided a large body of analysis on the progress of renewable energy deployment globally. The report includes an analysis of global trends in deployment, costs and investment for electricity, heat and transport, together with an analysis of opportunities and potential barriers both economic and non-economic. It also includes a chapter comparing the successes of differing renewable energy support policies. The report provides a good benchmark, but further research may find UK-tailored data on the subject.
